content curation

Content Curation?

Content Curation is now becoming one of the hottest topics for internet marketers to date.  And our next free product of the month is on this very subject.  You’ll get some advanced learning on this topic and of course, be able to sell this information as well.

So how fascinating is the topic of Content Curation?  Well in internet marketing circles, it is huge.  For the mainstream marketer, it has become pretty much a standard of business.  That’s why if you are a small business owner, this is a great way to start to build traffic to your site.

And yes, we are talking about blogging today, but Content Curation has many forms today, thanks to social media.  But for now, here are 5 quick reasons for you to love Content Curation

1. It’s Fast

In any given day you can pump out ten to twenty articles based on the content you can gather in the moment. And you see this with many sites that go around the clock.  For some tech sites like Phandroid.com  give you a quick paragraph, a link to the source and Boom…they’re done.

Anyone can fly out a quick post now even if you’re mobile.  Doing a post from an iPad or smartphone is easy with this method.  You don’t have to type for an hour or two to spew out your thoughts.  Nope…just find some content, talk about it quickly and post.  The end!

2. It’s Easy

You don’t need structure to this at all.  Again a quick paragraph is sufficient in most cases.  There are even sites who do a quick blurb and post a link.  Twitter is a huge example of this.  Now we are delving into social media a bit here but Twitter in its purest form is considered a micro-blog.

So you can crank out 140 characters to say whatevah and at the end, send a link.  Very easy and bloggers can and have done this as well. Example: DrudgeReport.com.

Now by no means am I saying that you have to do it this way but really there are no rules on how to report your information.  You can spin it how you want to spin it.  And that’s what makes this really simple and fun to do.

3. It’s Google Friendly

Google loves curated content…nuff said.  Really, it’s true.  There’s no need to say more about this at all.  It’s been proven to work for so many sites online because the response from visitors validates it.

You get traffic that returns for more information in bits and bites.  They don’t  need to have a long drawn out piece every time.  Sometimes a bite size morsel of info is fine for today’s busy surfer.

Why wouldn’t Google love people searching daily for the same sites that gives them what they want to read about.  And for the most part, it is returning visitors which establishes them as an authority site.

And guess what? Google rewards Authority sites big time. So this is what makes this method so popular today.

4. It’s Linkable

Potential to get lots of links back to your site is huge for the ranking of your site.  And putting together posts that link back to other bloggers will most certainly get you some links back to your blog.

Make no mistake about it—bloggers love getting recognized for their content.  So if they are getting the credit and it is positive at least for the most part, it is great for them.  It would be crazy to refuse a link from any other blog assuming it is a strong link that will boost their rankings.

So the reciprocal effect happens where you boost their traffic and vice versa…it’s a win-win situation almost every time.

5. It’s Consistent

There will be an unlimited amount of information to draw from for your blog.  There really is no reason not to be able to post articles at will. You can access as much info as possible and never run out.

So you should always have the confidence to deliver content to your audience right?  There’s simply no reason to be without something to post on your blog.  Your access to content will always be consistent so you should also be consistent.

No need to rack your brain on what to write about it.  Information is all around you so use it.

Love it, Use it but Don’t abuse it. Content Curation is a bloggers dream if used properly so go for it and see what it can do for your online presence this month.
