Have You Tried This? | Listbuilding Giveaways Expanded
List Building Giveaways have been an easy effective way to build an email list of potential loyal buyers fast…and most importantly for free.
So what happens on a list building giveaway? Several partners collaborate on a anchor website to giveaway free gifts in a certain market. They all promise to promote this at once in as one time event. So each one would send out an email to their individual lists most times promising a certain amount of visitors. This normally last about a few days but could go for an entire week or more.
The only thing about these events as a downside is that it can get a bit technical because you have to use a list building software specific to list building giveaways.
The one catch for the visitor is that they have to sign up for the promoter’s list in order to access the free gift. As a result…the promoters most likely racks up a good amount of new subscribers to their list with little to no effort whatsoever.
Now this strategy is used mainly in the Internet marketing field. You hardly if ever see this executed anywhere else but why? Why hasn’t this simple method been expanded outside of this market and beyond?
Well let’s explore and see what else we can do with this list building strategy. Here’s a few ideas you can try and you can tell me if you have indeed tried this? (This may be a series of posts in this same vein so stayed tuned)
- Expand it to more markets-perhaps call it something different. Not a giveaway but maybe a community social or Marketplace, Share-All Event. Maybe not the best names but hopefully you get the point. You’ll see this in the internet marketing circles. But I would definitely get this out to the personal development fields, health and fitness, Pet care, Credit repair. You should be able to find partners excited and willing to drum up business in this manner unheard of to them.
- Create an Online Summit for the weekend. Might make more sense for vendors of other markets to include a video or webinar trainings as a bonus to these events. You can have the promoters do a video tutorial requiring the visitor to sign up on their list for that individual course.
- Go Social. Create an event where people have to like or sign up to the promoter’s Facebook fan pages in order to get a free gift. You can do the same thing for Twitter to get followers onto each promoter’s account. Even sites like Pinterest, Google+ or even a Skype group could possibly be used to get decent results. You’ll probably find out that this type of giveaway may be easier to not only put together but promote as well.
So there you have it. Have you experienced or been a contributor to an event like these mentioned? Or perhaps you would like to be a participant in an event like this? Please comment and let us know. We probably would love to work with you soon!
BTW…we are in an original List building Giveaway event in next few days so look out for that. We will get the information to you soon. More free stuff is coming!
