iNVESTIGATIONS: GBresponder | Legit or Spam Dealer?
Let’s face it…there are a lot of movers and shakers that are very honest and legit. But you will also find your fair share of phonies that are just out for a buck.
So Introduce to you iNVESTIGATIONS…
Our first foray in fighting the menaces to our online society. This first case comes from a random check of my spam mail. I noticed the usual spammers but I decided to check this particular email to see how they got my email.
The email came from a service called GBresponder.com. Now when you go to the site, you can obviously see that it looks as tacky as can be. No one should ever go to a site like this and think it’s something of value.
However, some obviously have since I received an email that went straight to spam. Now I only use Gmail so they are pretty good at handling spam which is good for me.
But I wanted to know why this came in the first place?
Why is my email address being targeted?
How did it get on your list?
Who is behind this operation?
So I decided to follow the link trail that landed me to a site called Goldbar.net. I thought this place is just like spam heaven right?
I mean the copyright hasn’t been changed since 2010? Who are these people. Amazingly enough they had a phone number on the site itself which, for me, tells that they should be somewhat legit….
However with a couple calls and even a message sent through their contact form, I received no response. Nothing…nada.
So the only conclusion is I report at this time is to stay far away from any services from GBResponder.com via Goldbar.net. Unless of course, they can get back to me and explain themselves.
Otherwise, it’s a done deal. These people are spam dealers. Period.
