News Flash: I Can’t See Your Video on My iPad So You Just Lost a Sale!

This is a heads up for all the internet marketers who think it’s pretty cool to use all the fancy flash vids on their sites. You think it looks so professional and so much better than the usual YouTuber’s vids.
Well News Flash. I have an iPad in fact there are milions upon millions of iPad users across this world. And what do you think happens when we go to your Fancy Smancy Web page and find a big blank area of White Space….
NOTHING! We get nothing…Exactly! And guess what happens to that potential huge sale you could have received from me? It’s gone…forever in most cases. Yes I could go back home to my desktop since I do have a PC and view the page there. But what are the odds that I do that? Slim to none. That’s What!
Now I could be someone who has all Apple products and you now have very little chance of getting that sale at all right?
Case in point. I recently purchased a product on the Warrior Forum not too long ago. I was already geared up to buy what I presumed would be an oto offering additional hands on help. I got excited about it and almost pushed the button I didn’t. Here’s why?
I didn’t know what I was really getting. There was no sales copy written. Just a video that was in…you guest it>>>>Flash! How could I push the button…I wanted to but I just couldn’t. There goes a $47 sale. And for some, that’s a pretty big chunk of change.
This is how NOT to make money online. And if you’re an internet marketer, this is something to really think about it. You and your affiliates could use that little extra income from this one little change.
Now just imagine how often that is happening to your sales pages if you have invested so heavily in your flash vids? How often have you missed a sale from all the Apple users out there on their iPads, iPhones, iMacs, etc.
Just something to consider for today…luckily everything will be changing soon in the transition to html 5. Everything will be integrating into the websites itself…(very complicated stuff that I won’t dare try to explain). And now that Adobe is no longer creating flash apps for your mobile consumption, everyone will have to conform to a new way of mobile video life.
But until then…consider using a different medium for your vids besides flash and maybe…just maybe…you’ll won’t lose another sale from me.
